Whew! I’ve just finished the first round edits on my Red-Hot Summer anthology story, Lady Sings the Blues. My poor editor should be nominated for sainthood! I certainly didn’t make her job easy–then again, I did decide to enter the contest at the last minute. Really. I finished my story the morning the contest was due to end. I literally emailed it off about an hour after I’d finished typing the last scene, after being up for 36 hours. I’m so glad they gave me a chance.
Anyway, it gave me a chance to read over the story again. I really love it. As soon as we reach final edits, I’ll post an excerpt here. But for now, I’m gonna go crash.
